CGSR Team Members assisted again this year in the 21th annual Carleton Co-operative Bike Rodeo which was held on Saturday, June 04/2011 at the Northern Carleton Civic Center in Florenceville, NB. This is historically a co-operative event between Carleton Co-operative Ltd., the RCMP and Carleton Ground Search & Rescue Inc.  Royal Canadian Mounted Police Const. John Pitcher once again this year conducted a helmet safety check following registration. All participating bike riders must  wear a safe and proper fitting helmet.
Const. Pitcher also spoke to the participants about various safety concerns and considerations relating to bike riding. Carleton Ground Search & Rescue personnel traditionally participate in this event by maintaining checkpoints and records, keeping the course traffic flowing smoothly and promoting general safety on the course.
Our Team provided a new bike helmet again this year as a  prize.
Team Members prepare to mark out the bike course.
