BURPEE WOODS TRAINING EXERCISE 2012
Jacksonville, NB August 24th-26th/2012
Friday evening, August 24 - 2012
Exercise participants and helpers have arrived on site and are preparing to set up the Search Base area. This is a good location for the trailer.
Our Command Post vehicle has been on site at many actual searches and training exercises over the years.
Tobique SAR members and their Command Post vehicle are also on site and commencing set-up procedures.
More participants are arriving.
Larry is preparing to lay out the tent poles and tethers.
Many hands make light work, the tent is ready to go.The Burpee brothers ( Dale and Terry) to the left and standing directly behind Larry - are both 27 year SAR members. Also, we are very grateful for the use of their family property.
Team Members from Tobique and Carleton are arriving at a steady pace... and another tent is going up. Tobique SAR President Duane Campbell (centre) with orange shirt is standing in front of the tent being assembled.
It is ideal weather for a weekend exercise. It is now time to stoke the fire, head into town, socialize and -most importantly- spend the evening catching up on the local news.
