CARLETON GROUND SEARCH & RESCUE INC.
Proudly serving Carleton County and the surrounding area since 1985
Our Carleton Ground Search & Rescue Inc. Team held its Annual Christmas Party on Sunday, December 07, 2008 at the Hartland Town Hall Community Room, Hartland, NB. We have just received a relatively light offering of fresh snow but many roads are still very slippery.
The Hartland Covered Bridge crossing the St. John River at Hartland, NB on the morning of December 07/2008. It is the Longest Covered Bridge In The World and a National Historic Site of Canada. NB Department of Transportation (Woodstock area) Bridge Crew Supervisor Doug Billings is cleaning up the overnight snowstorm around the construction site.
An early morning upstream view of the Longest Covered Bridge. It is in the final weeks of the massive (nearly $3 Million) Hartland Covered Bridge 2008 Rehabilitation Project. The new siding boards are Douglas Fir from British Columbia.
The Christmas Tree area is getting checked out.
The food is nearly ready and everyone is anticipating the meal.
As always, we are having another very good feed this year.
This always seems to be a favourite location at these events.
Our ever popular Yankee Swap is underway. John has also stopped by for a brief visit with us. And, we will soon wrap this event up for another year.
